I have learned that if one does not check this box, asking that notification be sent "immediately," no notice is sent. Ever! It seems to me that the default should be to send notification promptly. In other words, Guides should have the option to opt out of assignment notification, not be required to opt-in!

I'd been told that not checking the "send immediately" box meant that the "assignment" would show up in the employees workspace but that no notification would be received. That is what prompted my suggestion to change that language. Recently, when two clients stated consistently that they had not received assignment notifications (Chambers Construction LC2 & ShiftCC Cohort 1. This has happened in the past, too and I've been assuming that I neglected to check "send immediately.") So, it seems that assignment notifications are not being received consistently.

Notifications are sent on the assign date if you do not elect to send them immediately. If that is not happening for you for some reason please create a support ticket so the team can take a look.
